ARK Guitars

Larson reproductions are rare as hen’s teeth these days- it easy to see why too! With the laminated bracing, internal tensioning rods and a quirky sense of design, these guitars take a lot of hard work and attention to detail to achieve authenticity. That’s here Tony Klassen comes in. Tony’s a big fan of these guitars and he’s been quietly perfecting his own, highly authentic, highly sought after reproductions. Tony does things the old way, hand rubbed nitrocellulose with tensioning rods and original larson bracing patterns.
Here’s what Tony has to say:
‘I am pretty much building guitars that followed the regular Larson line of instruments. Models include a 15″ parlor, 16″ square shoulder, 18″ and 19″ super jumbo and Dreadnought. I am pretty much building guitars that followed the regular Larson line of instruments. Models include a 15″ parlor, 16″ square shoulder, 18″ and 19″ super jumbo and Dreadnought. I have plans on adding a couple more styles. Aside from the Larson designs, I’m offering the Recording King Dreadnought, and presently working on a rare Bacon & Day jumbo flattop with fancy engraved pearloid and rhinestones.’
