Toneworks

At goodacoustics, we have been experimenting over the past 5 years with various techniques to tweak the sound of an instrument. With a wide range of products and instruments we have brought in for trial and for trade, we have now enough knowledge to be able to consistently modify a guitar’s tone.

So now, we are launching a new division, called Toneworks. Toneworks aims to fine tune your guitar to get it sounding closer to that tone in your mind.

With that in mind, we are launching our Tuneups service. A Tuneup does not void any warranty and can be reverted without modification.

So what do you get?

Firstly we will have a discussion into your current instrument and what you would like to get out of it.

Then we look at the various components on your guitar. Namely the transmission chain- from the tuners to the bridge pins.

We’ll proceed to make various recommendations and with your informed decision, proceed from there.

Fees

Every instrument is different. Every tuneup is different.

So we start from an initial consultation fee of $50 and then based the agreed modifications, a final estimate is agreed upon. Best of all we stand behind our work 100% so every part except the initial consultation fee is refundable.

Do we offer any other services?

Well, we do in special cases, modify much more extensively. We call it Hot-rodding. This is a more invasive process, which will void warranties and will involve modifications which are not reversible. Hence, we do not offer this service except in special circumstances. Currently, we are working with Maestro Guitars to hot-rod specific guitars. Stay tuned for more details!
